UE COMM Orders

Once you place your order with us, we will place the IEM portion of your order with Ultimate Ears.  From that we will get a specific UE Order Number (different from the In-House Sound Site Order Number) which we will email to you.  

For Custom Fit IEMs orders, we will email you this information along with details about getting physical impressions and where to ship them, including:

  • How to find an Audiologist near you
  • Audiologist instructions for the Audiologist to follow to ensure the UE lab does not reject the impressions.
  • Shipping label instructions – please follow these to ensure that your impressions don’t get misplaced.
  • Please do NOT ship your impressions to UE until you receive this email from us with this specific UE Order Number as, without it, your impressions could be misplaced.

For Custom Fit orders you also have the option of getting scans done by a UE Dealer.  Scanning locations are very limited, mostly in Southern California.  If you are interested in getting scans done, please let us know and we’ll see if there’s a scanning location near you.

The general turnaround time for a UE COMM is currently about 20 - 25 business days from when the UE Lab receives and approves your impressions or scans. International shipping, supply chain issues and backordered parts may lengthen the turnaround time.

Regarding shipping, please note: 

The UE COMM comes in two shipments: Ultimate Ears will ship the In-Ear Monitor (IEM) portion. This shipment includes:

  • In-Ear Monitors
  • IPX Listen Only Cable
  • Small Square Case
  • Wax Cleaning Tool
  • UE IEM Cleaning Cloth
  • If your IEM’s have the Ambient Feature, the order will include 4 Ambient Plugs
  • Any other UE Accessories from your order.

In-House Sound will ship the UE COMM parts separately. 
This shipment includes:

  • SKB Custom Case
  • Electret Microphone
  • UE COMM Cable
  • Adaptor Kit: 5pinM XLR / 4pinF XLR / 3.5mm TRRS
  • Any other In-House Sound Accessories

The general turnaround time for receiving the UE COMM parts and any other In-House Sound UE Comm accessories is approximately 5 - 10 business days. International shipping, supply chain issues, high demand, and backordered parts may lengthen the turnaround time.

The general turnaround time for set of UE IEMs is currently about 20 - 25 business days from when the UE Lab receives and approves your impressions or scans. International shipping, supply chain issues, high demand, and backordered parts may lengthen the turnaround time.

We will do our best to keep you informed about your order, and will email you with tracking information for both shipments once that is available.
